Do you provide course materials, and are they provided free of charge?Absolutely! We offer comprehensive course materials to support our students' learning journey. The course materials cost is already included in our term fees. For students based in Singapore, hard copy course materials will be provided, while students residing overseas will receive soft copy materials. However, upon request, we are more than happy to provide hardcopy materials and the courier fee is to be borne by the customer.

What is your enrolment procedure?To enrol with us, simply fill out the online form available on our website. Our team will reach out to you within 1-2 working days for further assistance and guidance.

What is your withdrawal policy?Our withdrawal policy entails a 2-week notice period. It's important to note that any remaining fees not utilised are non-refundable. Therefore, we strongly encourage students to complete the full term of classes before considering withdrawal.

Will there be any lessons scheduled on public holidays?At The Learning Thoughts, we observe Singapore Public Holidays (dates will be communicated in advance). On these public holidays, there will be no scheduled lessons. For students residing overseas, makeup classes can be requested, or alternatively, students can access recorded lessons to catch up on any topics they may have missed.

How are your classes conducted?Our classes are conducted using an online learning platform. Upon registration, our team will provide you with a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to set up and access the platform, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for all students.

Does your teaching align with both MOE schools and International Schools in Singapore?Absolutely! Our teaching approach aligns closely with the syllabus followed by MOE schools in Singapore. Additionally, we seamlessly integrate the syllabus followed by international schools based in Singapore. This ensures that our curriculum caters to the needs of all students, providing a comprehensive and well-rounded educational experience.

Are there any differences between Singapore and International syllabus?The Singapore syllabus emphasises the development of practical problem-solving skills, preparing students for real-life experiences. Singapore's education system is renowned for its high standards and has produced strong academic results on international assessments. On the other hand, the International syllabus fosters creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning. Through our classes, students will be able to benefit from our well-rounded teaching process that combines practicality and creativity.

What are the different class sizes?Our class sizes are carefully designed to provide an optimal learning environment. We require a minimum of 4 students to start a class and will keep at a maximum of 10 students per class. We have two class options available. Our smaller class size ranges from 4 to 6 students, ensuring more individualised attention and interaction. Alternatively, our bigger class size accommodates 7 to 10 students, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere. Please note that there are different price ranges associated with each class size. What are the class schedules and duration like?Our classes are structured with varying durations based on the grade level. For lower grades (Year 1 & 2), the typical class duration is 60 minutes, while for upper grades (Year 3 to 6), the class duration extends to 75 minutes. Our weekday classes will typically start from 5pm (GMT +8) with the last class ending at 9pm (GMT +8) Our weekend classes will typically start from 8:30 am (GMT +8) with the last class ending at 4pm. It's important to note that class availability may vary, and we encourage you to contact us for more detailed information. We strive to accommodate the diverse schedules and preferences of our students, so please feel free to reach out to us for further details and to explore the available options.

How do you manage student’s homework?At The Learning Thoughts, we place great emphasis on continuous improvement in our students' learning journey. To reinforce their understanding and progress, students are encouraged to complete weekly homework assignments. These assignments are designed to complement their in-class learning experiences. We take homework submissions seriously and provide feedback to parents if we notice a consistent low submission rate from students. To ensure a seamless process, we provide a step-by-step guide on how to submit completed homework through the online learning platform. We are committed to supporting their educational development and are available to address any questions or concerns regarding homework assignments.

What is your replacement class policy?If a student is unable to attend their scheduled class, we kindly request that they inform us in advance before the class begins. In such cases, students have the option to join another available class within our schedule, subjected to availability. Alternatively, students can access recorded lessons to catch up on any topics they may have missed. We strive to provide flexibility and ensure that students can stay on track with their learning journey.

What are the qualifications of your teachers?Our teachers undergo an assessment and qualification process overseen by our founders before they begin teaching. Once onboard, our teachers receive comprehensive training to ensure they are aligned with our teaching processes and standards. This ensures that our students receive quality education and support from our teachers.

How often will I receive feedback from teachers?Teachers at The Learning Thoughts provide detailed grading and progress reports at the end of each semester. In addition, our teachers will consistently monitor students' progress throughout the term and provide timely feedback whenever necessary.

What are the modes of payments?We offer multiple payment options to cater to the needs of our students: Singapore students can make payments conveniently through PayNow or Bank Transfer. International students have the option to pay using PayPal or Bank Wire Transfer. Upon registration, we will provide you with the necessary payment details and instructions to facilitate a smooth payment process.

Is the tuition fees collected on a monthly or termly basis, and how many lessons are included?Tuition fees at The Learning Thoughts are collected based on the following structure: For normal classes, tuition fees are collected on a termly basis. Each term includes a total of 20 lessons. Additionally, the tuition fees include a material fee, which covers the cost of lesson materials and tools utilised during the classes. As for holiday classes, fees are collected as a one-time payment. Each holiday class consists of 8 lessons. To secure a slot in our classes, a 20% deposit of the fee payment is required. The remaining payment should be settled before the commencement of the classes. It is important to note that the deposit collected is non-refundable and non-transferable, as it is dedicated to ensuring the availability of resources for our students' learning experience. What other fees are included?In addition to the tuition fees, there is a one-time non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of SGD20. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with the enrolment process.

Will there be any rebate for lessons missed?Regrettably, there are no rebates offered for missed lessons. However, we do extend the courtesy of providing make-up classes upon request, subject to class availability, as an act of goodwill. Alternatively, students can access our recorded lessons to catch up on any topics they may have missed, ensuring they can stay on track with their learning progress.
